Playtech Signs Deal with Spanish Network
Playtech, the international developer, designer and licensor of software for the online, TV, mobile as well as land based gaming industry, has announced that it has signed a major new deal with the largest television network in Spain.
In terms of the new deal Playtech will provide the Spanish Group, Mediaset Espana, with its complete suite of innovative products which will in future be operated under a local gaming license.
Media Espana will be supplied with Playtech’s casino, poker, bingo, live dealer games, mobile and TV products. The television network intends focusing in particular on Playtech’s TV product and profiting on the mass market appeal of this platform.
The agreement between the two parties is a very important step as Mediaset Espana is currently listed among Spain’s 35 strongest companies on the main Spanish stock exchange IBEX 35 with a EURO 1,780 M market capitalization to date. Mediaset Espana’s decision to sign the agreement with Playtech will result in the television network joining the gaming industry’s leading provider in an extremely successful market for online gaming.
Mediaset Espana is known to be one of the largest media companies in the whole of Europe and the biggest in Spain. It operates approximately six digital channels as well as two mainstream terrestrial channels.
